were locked in a room for four days with a four-track recorder, various musical instruments, and food. They recorded forty songs in the four days, fifteen of their best efforts were handed out to other musicians and producers with the simple instructions "finish this".

Lyrics by Ron English were sung acapella by Daniel Johnston and the tape was handed over to Brandon Jameson who, along with the Sutcliffes, created the music and the hooks.
