Popaganda: The Art and Crimes of Ron English
by Logan Hill

It’s hard to go wrong with a film about Ron English, the brilliant guerrilla artist notorious for replacing corporate billboards and advertisements with satirical and pointed attacks on consumer culture, and one of the key figures of the culture-jamming movement. Pedro Carvajal’s colorful documentary—a highlight of the “Howl!” festival—doesn’t exactly get intimate, but it’s still a riveting look at a fascinating subversive and his work.
