In this latest episode, they talk to the esteemed “Godfather of Street Art,” Ron English, on the relative cultural isolation of his childhood in the Midwest, his first exposure to the art world, and the moment where it occurred to him that his art could go anywhere, legally or not.

In this critically acclaimed documentary (filmed in an appropriately guerilla style), director-producer Pedro Carvajal captures vigilante artist Ron English as he makes a series of thought-provoking -- and sometimes just plain odd -- statements. The film also serves as a biography, chronicling English's evolution from a simple painter to an activist-instigator who skewers just about everything -- from Ronald McDonald to the war in Iraq.
High school student Mars English has what he believes to be a bigfoot sighting which leads him to investigate other sightings in his area. He ends up discovering that half of his town has encountered Bigfoot. He tries not to judge the veracity of the people who have had encounters but rather takes it as a cultural phenomenon.
Highsnobiety went behind-the-scenes at Ron English's recent takeover of the Bowery mural, and spoke with the artist about his work and social media's impact on street art.

Each March, thousands of cinephiles descend on Austin to get a glimpse of the incredibly inspired work being done in indie cinema, and RxSM is eager to provide it. Each year, RxSM doles out awards to its best and brightest talents and offers many of the award-winning projects the opportunity to screen at The Victoria Texas Independent Film Festival the following weekend.
